Why Moissanite

  • What is moissanite?

    Moissanite is a gemstone made of silicon carbide, first discovered in 1893 by French scientist Henri Moissan in a meteor crater in Arizona. Natural moissanite is so rare that nearly every stone in jewelry today is grown in a lab. It ranks 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, just below diamond at 10, so it holds up to everyday wear.

  • Will it look like a diamond?

    At a glance, yes. Moissanite bends light more than a diamond and has more than twice the fire, so up close you'll catch extra flashes of rainbow color, especially in sunlight and candlelight. Our stones are colorless with VVS1 clarity, so they look clean and bright to the eye.

  • Why choose moissanite over a mined diamond?

    Moissanite is grown in a lab, so no mining goes into making the stone, and your budget goes much further. Our 1-carat round pendant in solid 14K gold is $254.95. A 1-carat mined diamond pendant in 14K gold usually lists for around $5,000 at major online jewelers, often with lower color and clarity than our colorless VVS1 stones.

Hands down the best experience with a seller. I was torn between two sizes and reached out to see if I wasn't super happy with the smaller size if I could exchange for the larger pair. Stephanie replied immediately and offered multiple options to swap the earrings out if I ended up wanting the larger set. After debating, I did want to go with the larger carat earrings. She instantly got the return label to me, a personalized order link to pay the difference between the two items, and she sent out the new pair even prior to receiving the returned set. Will absolutely buy all items that I'm in the market for (which are listed for sale in her shop) moving forward. Incredible experience all around, the earrings are gorgeous and the overall quality of the jewelry is far superior to others I have bought in the past.

I received this pendant and was pleasantly surprised on the sparkle of the moissanite. It looks like a real diamond. I got the 6.5mm ct. in 10k solid gold and put it on a 14k solid gold chain and you can’t tell the difference! I am very happy with this pendant!😊
